The innocent children

By whisperingchippewa

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

They cry out, but they're not heard, You don't listen to their crying words. What did they do that's so wrong? No acknowledgement for so long. You cared for them once upon a time, You refuse to help us with not even a dime. You walk around with out a care, While I give them all my love to share. One day you will be a lonely man, For you in life there is a plan. You will see how it feels, You'll be alone and have to deal. We went our separate ways, but you make "them" have to pay. They now have a step-dad they look up to, but we all know it should of been you. Debra DeLong copyright 20012001, Written November 1st, 2001 © on Nov 01 2001 12:18 PM PST   0 • 10
