Don't Bother
By Willow34645
What if when I hug you, I just can't let you go? If I said I loved you, Would you just say, "I know"? Will you cut me off When I'm making my point? Or will you listen, And try not to disappoint? How can I trust someone That I hardly know? Not look before I leap, Into something unknown. If I fell, would you catch me? If I died, would you care? If I ever called you, Could you promise you'd be there? How do I know that I'm not being played? Don't swear on your soul, That you're going to stay. You're going to leave, Just like every other. You can't say you won't, So don't even bother. Written March 30th, 2002 © on Mar 30 2002 02:44 PM PST 0 • 1
