Repent
By Xirtam
Life just can't decide, with whom you can confide. Tearing away like vicious birds, the songs forgotten and remembered words. An icy heart as cold as snow, you think you love, but do not know. Feeling like your captivated, but knowing your emancipated. You need to know how to live, but can't decide what to give. Day in day out, you scream and shout. Like little kids, the fights break out. No tears to cry, the ducts are dry. You need to see, and start to plea. Long forgotten is the word of peace. So your soul is left for the damned to lease. Time is short, you must repent. For the reaper's list has been sent. One of my first poems, written when I was 15. If you enjoyed the poem, I have more on this site. Written March 30th, 2002 © on Mar 29 2002 06:20 PM PST 20 • 0 • 1
