Buried In The Ashes
There's not enough dust to cover our love, Not enough lives to be buried within it. There's not enough tears to cast aside, To make us believe we have our limits. Men have died in their brother's hands Their demise t'were an Insolency vain To know that by another mortal's hands Their lives were taken and slain. We have no one left except one other And we still have no one beyond that. Our ignorance clouds our judgment And we put fate into OUR hands. It is not for us to kill, It is not for us to make this regretful choice. But thanks to those who think so, Silenced forever is liberty's voice.. We have stripped thousands of lives And all we have left to offer is tribute. When reality's fist struck us with this adversity, We can do nothing but stay mute. We don't realize that at the end, What a troubling choice we have made. We will hopefully learn to not make the same mistake, But for now all we can do, is let this pensive memory fade..I live in new york city..i have seen it..and this memory will not erase..
