Sonnet One
Oh, dear heart, why doth thee trouble me so?Should the cause be of the one true lover,To which myself he truly hath not known? For true love hath not noticed me before.Have I not tried for you to notice me?Have I not tried for you to love me so?Cupid's arrow hath hit me, yet not thee.Hath the right time come to make myself known? Why doth these dark eyes tantalized me so?With mine own sweat dropping from head to breast. And the time for me to rejoice is now,Mine heart is still pounding inside in chest. But, I will not go unnoticed to you, For to my heart will I always be true. Written August 28th, 2001 © on Aug 28 2001 07:02 AM PST 0 • 8
