The Bastard Child
I look outside my window, Each passing day, I see them laughing and smiling Until it hurts to see them play. They don't know how deep the wounds run, Nor how many tears I have bled, They don't know that it was they Upon which my anger fed. They run around in their bonny circles Outside my beaten door. They hunted me down with a passion But,chose to nettle and ignore. I kept my blinds shut tight, And stayed home in bed, But the dreadful noise followed me, Their taunting words deranged my head. I refused to look outside my window, The childrens' laughter drove me wild. With choruses of unforgettable verses: "COME OUT, BASTARD CHILD!"i hope no one should ever have to feel this way..
