What of love?

By zee

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

What of love? Where has she gone? Why is she hiding in the secret place? Rejected by society? Could this be so? How could they despise, Her gruesome face? Pretty love, She has not gone, And she a far-removed relation is, To real love, She does not know, How to love as, True love does. What of love? Can she be found? Only by those who fear not pain, She is the heart of God, And God gives Love, To all who ask, In His name. What of love? Will she take me still? And teach me how her ways to know? Sacrificial love, Bears much fruit, Teach us Lord, Your love to show. What of love? Can she be found? In the secret place, not so far removed? The place of pain? The heart of the poor? Can love provide, An open door to those in need? What of love? Relation of the cross? Hope for those rejected by this world? Priceless pearl - the kingdom, Knows her well, She casts her spell, And all must in the end obey. Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 08:46 PM PST   0 • 13
