Late last night you told me I was your one and only I went and kissed you slowly That makes your skin a-glow Three days ago was going too fast Our love and problems grew past You left how could you do that Wanted to talk to you Last week the drama with the phone call I watched a wall of stone fall My cries and your new moans crawled And I felt so alone All month you took the game and played it "I love you's" that were stated The meanings that were faded Which brings me to today Chorus: It's very strange, I know For me to dwell on ago But this time I don't think it is that hard So my dear I'll depart From matters of the heart Bridge 1: And I hope my feelings carry me My dear so when you marry me Or else I don't think we'll get very far Now I'm hearing this for too long Say I'm leading you to do wrong Inside the hurt is too strong Cuz since I married you On a warpath is where you're heading Our end this trend is setting So I'm never forgetting You leaving me for dead Each time brings lies and explanations For outside fornications You were my inspiration Now you inspire pain Some day you'll ask how could you do it Our break up will be fluid I'm sad for going through it Got nothing else to do Chorus Bridge 2: Happiness is what I strive to gain So I hope that I'll survive this pain Cuz right now it's just tearing me apart I'm sorry that I missed your birthday I miss you in the worst way No matter what the hurt stays Allowing me to curse The day we married way to quickly Forever came and hit me I'll bet the fates just tricked me The bait was never switched See you're the best thing that could find me These other girls remind me I can't treat you unkindly You're always on my mind Please realize this ain't cemented My heart is still quite dented But love is unrelented I'll see this to the end Chorus Bridge 3: In the future we'll slow down the pace There's no pressure here and there's no race I promise that tomorrow's bout to startThis is my first ever attempt at an actual musical song that isn't rappable (is that a word? If not it is now). In my head it has an R&B feel... what do you guys think? Written March 4th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 12:50 AM PST   20 • 0 • 8
