Leave Your Soul Bare
By acidcrys
I had felt the icy presence of your ongoing glare, coming from eyes the mysterious shade of smoke.I wanted to tear off your shield and leave your soul bare.To question the hatred beyond that look, I had to dare,so I could feel the emotion, such a thing would provoke.I felt the icy presence of your ongoing glare.I felt as if I had trespassed into a wild animal's lair.but I felt the need to follow that forsaken loke.I wanted to tear off your shield and leave your soul bare.I cant begin to understand why I always wanted to careor why sadness, your absence always seemed to evoke.I felt the icy presence of your ongoing glare.I wanted to know everything, from why your life was so unfair,to what you looked like every morning after you awoke.I want to tear off your shield and leave your soul bare. But I finally understood, that day you decided to share, when that harmonious voice spilled out as you spoke.I felt the icy presence of your ongoing glare.I wanted to tear off your shield and leave your soul bare. This is the one of my very first poems. Its set in the Villanelle Form (like most of Robert Frost's poems) where you have to repeat the two same lines in a certain way.. Heh I was in love with this form for a while.
