Scarlet Tears
By acidcrys
Staring blankly as my life unfolds, for all of the confusion it beholds. Digging desperately at the hard, cold ground; searching for the answers never to be found. Longing to understand the harmful truth; searching for my innocence lost in youth. Nightmares once possessing my sleep, into reality, now slowly creep. Clawing endlessly at this unfamiliar, deceiving face, as the flesh goes raw, scarlet tears take its place. Grasping every word they had said, never realizing where I was being led. Only when my soul's walls ceased- did their true inner being become released. Once knowledgable of what really stung, the words easily slid off their sharp tongue- behind the slammed shut door, while I gently rocked on the cold floor. I watch as their faces turn pale, will I tell them the truthful tale?- Of all the hell they caused within me, and how I still chose to love 'em for an eternity- No, I choose, upon my last gasping breath. They shall feel remorse, long after my death. Written September 16th, 2001 © on Sep 16 2001 10:07 AM PST 0 • 1
