Walking Through the Forest..
By acidcrys
I tripped over a large stone;who would have ever knownthat I had just kicked a home-of an angered little gnome? With cheeks like rubies, eyes the color of jade-he wailed & complained about the mess I had made.I layed on the ground, watching this lil man so furiouswhile the sadness & worry in his eyes only made me curious. While he raged on, and pretended to be madI knew he really wasnt, and was only sad.So when he finally stopped being meanand gave a look of 'what now?'I ignored his rudeness, and just kissed him on the brow.As I walked away I decided to look backAnd saw a beautiful smile his face should never lack. This is definitely a very different piece for me. I wrote it a while back.. as a metaphor.. type story.. about my father. I guess it was a way for me to try and make myself keep hope.. by thinking 'he isn't really so angry, just sad' and that if I just give unconditional love.. things would be better. Only in fairy tales though. Written September 22nd, 2001 © on Sep 22 2001 09:17 AM PST 0 • 10
