Roses have Thorns

By AmberDawn

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

As she packed her bags salty tears stained her face she wished she could stuff her pain and sorrow in that suit case The night before she was raped but she couldn't tell her man and now he sat in the corner cradling his head in his hands He wondered how he hurt her or if it was something he said she always made him feel so alive but now inside he felt dead She knew she couldn't tell him that now she was filthy and impure but without him by her side the future seemed bleak and obscure He couldn't hide his sorrow or slow his breaking heart he never saw this coming and now he was falling apart As she paused at the door she looked so tattered and worn he said "You'll always be my rose" She said "Roses have thorns"I know this isn't very good, but it just came out so I decided to share it.
