Politics of Confusion
Give your statement to the public So they’ll feel the sting of your deception These days are dying now And it seems your grave lies with them Humanity is a pitiful existence Self-indulgent in the standard of decay So go ahead and give your speech While the casket’s open, don’t delay These are the politics of confusion The safe standard for killing the soul Bury your guilt under its warm soil But in the end the politician will be impeached And fire will burn a new policy When your address to the states is over Life will then cease to be The blind will open their eyes to the fire And the contingency will follow you to hell So share your vision with the people Because they won’t live to see reality Sweeten your tongue with political correctness So the world can grow numb to mortalityI wrote this after an experience I encountered with some nasty rumors and threats that were going around, while no one was taking the time to piece the whole picture together. This poem is not directed to an individual, but rather to those who choose to stray from the truth and lead people with them. It's a hard, straight telling of the fate of those who choose live a public lie. Written January 18th, 2002 © on Jan 17 2002 06:23 PM PST 0 • 9
