Waiting on the Rain
By anniebella
I'm outside And its about to rain As odd as it sounds As wierd as it sounds This is how I feel Like the weather Its been cloudy all afternoon The sun peeks through every now and then But I know its going to rain And oddly enough I want it to rain The rain keeps me inside Away from the sun which is good because If I see the sunshine I'll want it to stay sunny But its inevitably Eventually its gunna rain It feels like its always raining And no matter how hard I try I cant make the sun come out The thuds of thunder are my screems Loud at first And then they die down Becasue no matter how loud the thunder is Its the rain people focus on It still thunders Only every now and then That lets you know the rain will fall soon People aren't scared of it anymore They used to be Then they got used to how loud it is How much it hurts I try to ignore it now When it isnt thundering I can close my eyes And pretend it wont rain soon But the wind still blows And the clouds look darker So I have to go inside now Oddly enough I'd rather stay out here It doesnt rain as much out here. This poem may be a bit difficult to understand. Its all just one big analagy. The only time the poem actually refers to real rain is is the second line. I dont think I will say whats actually going on behind this poem. I'll let you use you imagination. And, just to let you know, its all okay now. :) Written August 29th, 2001 © on Nov 12 2001 08:10 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
