Do I care to thank God ?
By Apophthegm
I’m still breathing, when a million breaths are stopped, I’m still eating, when millions can not! Still I pray to God that He grant me more, Instead of thanking life, I place all my abhor. I lurk in the sunlight and still I need more light, But there are people, who have darkness still to fight! I dread a mere insect, when millions die of war, I curse that blackhead, but thousands have battle scar. Still I say to God that life should give me more, Even I curse this world when her weather is too cold. There are millions who, live barely clad in winter Still they struggle to live, they die but never surrender. I have hands to hold, but millions are orphaned, When I catch a cold, the environment is blamed. I have my rights read, many don’t even know theirs; I only snob about, without shedding true tears. Do I ever thank God, that I am well-off than a lot The best I do is blame and curse my lot. Written February 18th, 2002 © on Feb 18 2002 04:10 AM PST, Apothegm 0 • 10
