Melody in desolation
By Apophthegm
Grayness plagues my soul, In the desert of despair I am all alone Left with a water sack, whom you call hope Love- my camel to ship me towards redemption I hear melody, amidst my desolation The melody of love, faith and fancy Globules of hope keep me swarming Alive; into the direness of agony The tune of love tells me to go on Few more miles to go and glee is my tenure Mesmerized with that melody I continue my chase Enduring the tang of fear, pain and dereliction I heave my body to an unknown destination Where life frees me from all sobs, When the bag of hope dies, I die With a set of pains and gains I collected Tuned with the music of life, Booed with the terror of strife Yet the music sovereigns the house of the souls I know pleasure triumphs Enthralled with that melody, charged by hope Zilch desert turns full to me A wreath of joy and a carpet of glee Written November 23rd, 2001 © on Nov 22 2001 06:30 PM PST, Apothegm 0 • 12
