The Toys.(to be etched on a marble shaped teddy bear for a six year old.) ~ The toys sit sadly untouched on the shelf unmoved from the spot where he left them himself ~ now no longer played with they grow dusty and old and they wonder each day how he could be so cold ~ but they'll stay in their places growing rusty and bored Timmy drowned in the river and he's home with the lord ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Artis Superstitions My eyes keep drifting to that glaring bulb sixty watts of salvation keeping watch over my soul for I cannot forget what that old fortune teller whispered in my ear this morning past "Don't turn out the light tonight!" "Death waits in the corner for you! it's four a.m. and the bulb above just flickered...
