Under a Tree
By Aurain
I am sitting here, watching the world go. Under a shady tree, a sweet breeze blows. Passing people are moving to and fro. Meanwhile, the crackle of a chicken crows. A peaceful sight is presented to me. Sweet smells of morning, a feast for my nose! Can the day naught end? Do I need a key? Is there a lock which seals a door? Oh woe! Perchance, this could not happen or can it? My'n eyes hide themselves, from the thoughts enclosed. Withholding memoir's are degenerate! People change scenes, which are twice imposed. I cannot instill changes within thee. Nor, the sun, moon, stars, earth and sky -only me. Written April 29th, 2001 © on Dec 24 2001 06:15 AM PST 0 • 12
