They Say

By Avalon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

They say this moment is a gift Thats why it's called the 'present' They say the past is left behind But everyone knows it isn't They say the future is unknown Although psychics prove them wrong They say that time is an endless gift That it'll remain sturdy and strong. They say that fate is planned out But everythings a surprise They say that 'god made a perfect place' But then there's famine, wars, and lies. They say that the universe was created by one man But then where did he come from? They say that there is only one god But what about the pagan ones? They say that when people die, they're gone But then there are spirits roaming the earth They say that life is the greatest gift But what about people who regret their own birth?
