A True Love Poem
By bdgrey
A visage impure you possess this is true,A rose compares greater in contrast to you.Wool of a sheep so abrasive and tangled,Analogous to your locks foul and mangled.Immaculate legs deficient are your hips.Ashen clouds bear resemblence to your thin lips. The sun a far more appealing sight to view,Than those hazy pearls I must misconstrue.Shortcomings are numerous through common sight,None can conjecture such a trivial plight.Yet the beauty within is what I see most.Love exceeds countless boundries this I must boast. This is in response to the countless numbers of sonnets I had to read that glorified each poet's inspiration as perfect. No one is perfect, and though this takes a radical view, this is how love works. Regardless of exterior qualities. Written October 10th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 02:11 AM PST 17 • 0 • 8
