Disenchanted Love
By bdgrey
My love for you is like a river, long ago run dry. I once thought there was no limit, further even than the sky. We were in love that is a truth, yet something went awry. Now I look at you without reprisal, with a clearly focused eye. Now I have finally moved on, with absence of love I can't deny. Nor can say I wish to know you, for that would be a lie. So now I can say without regret, three letters forming "bye". I have moved on to a greater love, that I know will never die. Now I'm back where I belong, upon that mortal high. So to my town where I once dwelled, I reminisce and simply sigh. For I must leave and move further north, to progress further in my life. This basically has to deal with moving away from your home town. Though I haven't moved yet, I will be as soon as my girlfriend graduates. It's about time for me to move out on my own, and reach for the stars within my reach.
