I stand aside and watch the seasons change.One moment there's green and then white.Nothing ever stays constant,and everything must change.It's the universal law of everything.What once did glimmer fades and dulls.What once was dark and shaded deeply,may yet recover to shine so bright.A diamond was once black coal,and a swan was once grey and awkward.Everything that shimmers,will one day fade unnoticed.And then with the resilience of a Phoenix,it may return to briliance.Out of the ashes comes greatness unforseen,to soar atop a throne with effervescence.Almost as suddenly, without warning,and unseen, it falls and returns with a whisper.This cycle repeats itself without dismay,endlessly trapped and unable to break free.Yet on a rare occasion the mold is cracked,and that thing, whatever it may be,coincides with eternity and ceaselessly gleams.All that glimmers may in truth,never fade away or lose its luster.This only happens when....,well when dreams are conquered.I am a diamond that will forever shine,all I need is just a moment longer in time.Then my words will-survive.Well I love the song 'Shimmer' by Fuel, and I though I'd take a little different point of view.
