Hell/Heaven
By bdgrey
Sitting, I plea for some sort of resolution. I am lost now forever within my eratic mind, having lost all sense of reality and time. Flashing lights play infront of my eyes, and blood, red seraphs whisper horrible mantras. They glide around with daggers in hand, a dark sillouette against the piercing and sultry sun. The sky is filled with the tears of the dead, falling to the ground stinging and oppresive. Where I sit is no more than a bed of pale corpses, and thorns of poison move with a mind of their own. I can only sit with my head in my arms, eyes closed shut to keep out the swarm. I hear a whisper beyond the sky, so pleasant and serene, drawing my attention. I look up with my burning, raw eyes, and there I see deception in the form of true lies. Hell's minions swoop down to my side, and start hissing, tearing my limbs, and pulling them away from my body. Excruciating pain swells within my head, I'm ready to burst, unfortunately I can't. Then without warning I see with my fading vision, a creature white and so pure, from the heights of heaven. It picks my mangled soul from the ground, and flies away taking me home. It has the body of a horse, and the light of an angel, with only one solitary horn, and brilliant blue eyes. A mistake had been made of where I would spend eternity, for I died not in suicide, but in saving my love's life. An act considered by the greatest of beings, as something that can be done, only in the name of true love. Written December 31st, 2001 © on Dec 30 2001 03:59 PM PST 0 • 8
