In the Labyrinth: A Conversation (Pt. 4)

Lifted by the spirit of this stolen, endless night, the two lovers whisper sweet songs to the ear. Hear in its entirety without any abridgement, is the conversation of love, now heard 'round the world. The mood is of a deliberately nervous tension, amidst a night where the moon shines so bright. Each star twinkles in hopes of a new love beginning, as emotions run high of where their future does lie. Him: For the first time in my life, I now know where the stars get their inspiration. Her: Awe but only in your eyes, for there is surely differences in imagination. Him: Possibly true, but all those are simply blind, yet I see your soul as it intertwines with mine. Her: Quite a bold statement to be made at such a time, yet that is a fact, I cannot, nor want to deny. Him: And as such, I take great thrill at hearing such words, for your heart speaks to me ruminating compassion. Her: You leave me speechless and overly perturbed, for your confidence prevails without parting from fashion. Him: Only in your presence can I go without waver, because of you, my soul now feels complete. Her: In my dreams I have seen your true favor, and this I know I must from never retreat. Him: The night is beautiful, is it not? Her: Quite, yet never has the sky seemed so free, or the labyrinth here within, been such a place of ardor. Him: I would not know, for I come from a different land, a different time and place, where we lack romantic harbor. Her: Then it is good that here you have come to stay. Him: Yes it is, yet I fear that I may not remain. Her: My world before now was dull and unadorned, yet with you here, I feel born again in spirit. Him: I too feel this, but time lives by the clock, and each moment passing is another moment gone. Her: Which is why my dear and sweet, loving love, we must take not a single moment for less than the last. Him: Yet we can't live in fear of when it might come, for then the end would come totally twice as fast. Her: So what we must do is live in the moment... Him: And open our minds up for a lifetime of memories. Her: Shall we walk? Him: Yes we shall. Another chapter gone, with promise of more to come, are they star-crossed lovers, or will their romance live on? Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 03:56 PM PST   0 • 8
