Lover's Letter
By bdgrey
That last day was the best. You had told me you were leaving, yet we made the best of everything. You wore white, and let your hair down, while never ceasing to smile. I knew how much I loved you, and you showed your love for me. I remember that last day, for it was truly the best in my life. My hair hung low right at my shoulders, and your smile consoled me. I know I left the next morning, yet we lived that day forever. We were hopelessly in love, and never forlorn. The day passed on at the speed of eternity. Night eventually fell upon us, yet we still lived for the passion of each other. I knew that by morning, you would no longer be there. I remember the way we held each other. It was truly beautiful and magical. Despite my leaving soon thereafter, you proposed to me. I saw that look in your eyes, and knew it was true. I proposed to you that night, and you cried happy tears. Through your tears came a resounding "YES"! My only answer was of course "YES", despite my uncontrollable weeping. And since that day you said yes, I had been eagerly awaiting your return. Two days later we were married. I couldn't leave you, because I love love you. We wedded two days later. Some things you just have to do without thinking. Don't worry about what you don't know. Love and life go hand in hand, you learn as you go. Now we're old and gray, but that's only externally. We made it... We're aged now, yet we still have forever to be together. "And that is the letter they wrote just before they died. They are a testament to true love. In our hearts, souls, and minds, they will always reside. Let them Rest In Peace, yet those that know them best, know that by this rule they will never abide. Love...is...f-o-r-e-v-e-r" Written October 17th, 2001 © on Oct 17 2001 04:29 PM PST 10 • 0 • 8
