Tonight It Snowed

Tonight it snowed in this state of Texas. For one hour straight, little crystals, fell to the ground and melted. Looking up at the sky I could see it, with little flurries, hitting my eyes. When a car passed by my house, in its lights I could see snow's depth. The air was cold and my breath hung there, then it disappeared without saying goodbye. Truly an event more unique than any other, for it snowed in Texas What is even more remarkable, than an act of winter snow is this. For the first time in my love's life, she was able to see snow. Seeing her face as she danced with flurries, trying to catch them on her tongue, made me cry in happiness. Seeing the look on her face, as they stuck to her skin, and when she saw for the very first time, snow. Written January 2nd, 2002 © on Jan 01 2002 03:59 PM PST   0 • 8
