Who is Across From You?
By bdgrey
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Don't answer yet, listen to my plea. You are the critic that matters the most. This I pronounce, and easily boast. You mean so much to someone you know. Perhaps not to me, but a truth this is so. Perpetual dreams, we all do retain, you however, can purge the bane. Your future unknown, similar to mine. Yet different paths waiting, we'll expend in due time. Look in the mirror, know you are great, for this is the truth, oh,... and don't forget fate. That is the advice, I impart onto you. You know who you are, with great fortitude. When I look in the mirror, I appreciate who I see. I've been given one chance to do something, and I use each day to the best of my ability, and sometimes beyond. I hope this influences people to do the same. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "You matter the most." Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 11 2001 04:10 AM PST 17 • 0 • 12
