Leviathan in the Moon

By Beyond Zion

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Percieve the truth as it is.  Against the will of Zion,  find the self.  Feed your children normality,  Assimilate logic with the illogical.  Inject your soul with salvation,  And bury the past in skepticism.    Are you experienced?    Watch the birds feed on the worm,  Watch yourselves feed on eachother.  The street lights are the key,  The flies guard the sunbeams.  They are the warriors against the Leviathan,  The messangers of the obvious.  Look closely,  And find recolection.    Are you undone?    In the over anticipation of the future,  We have disregarded the past.  There is no present.  As the moon watches over us,  We fall over with exhaustion.  With worries.  With guilt.  With lonliness.    And in the REM,  We find sanctuary.  In the oblivious,  We are haunted.  And flies fall prey,  And the Leviathan consumes.  And consumes,  And consumes.    Now, after the moon passes into a sunrise,  We recycle the days,  into mirrors of other days.    And our redundancy is welcome.
