Skrape
By Beyond Zion
These ridiculous thoughts swirl parallel to me, Chasing me, Hunting me. Now, while staring away from destitude, I fumble upon happiness, and lose my libido inside your presence. With you there is no time, no work, no other thing of greater importance. It's just you. Just like it's me. Perhaps a ridiculous thought but far from obscene. Under a fluorecent sky Some where stranger than you, My skin sheds, my eyes brighten, the world dissolves into speckles of androgyny. And before that last fragment of hope dissipates, Your hands cut through the darkness, adding the warmth. Sweeping the left overs of salvation into your dust-pan of verisimilitude. Authors Note: This poem was written with the hope that one day I will have the courage to tell the person I love, that I love them.
