A Plethora of Pleonasm
By BlaZe
A plethora of pleonasm, What exactly is the defining meaning of that? It is not that illusive when you know the answer - Plethora meaning over abundance or more than what is necessary, And Pleonasm meaning a plethora of words. I guess its like saying two twins, Or the eyes that see. More subtly you could say, A dumb blonde, Or a corrupt Politician. How about the movie title the Sound of Music? But the best example of all is a Plethora of Pleonasm Which should by now have a defined meaning Or else my whole entire poetic poem has been a wasteful useless effort and ambition!Had a friendly competition with my sister to write a poem each, but not just simply any poem. By randomly flicking to a page in the dictionary i chose a title for myself "A Plethora of Pleonasm" (with plethora and pleonasm being on the same page) and a simpler title for my sister. In about 15 mins i came up with this! I hope it makes sense! :) one of my more ambitions poems...BTW no offence intended to Blondes or Politicians Written April 6th, 2002 © on Apr 05 2002 11:57 PM PST 0 • 10
