3 Sisters

By Bobtilton

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Drowning on a perfect day. A surface I could never break... ... Cold and opaque... And fear beneath, a current pulling me beyond reach. River in the coarse daylight, waiting for the sins that stick too vague to put right. Wash away belief; eventually they all unravel. Today I'm going in to stay. Three sisters and me frozen in the water. A kiss to send me sinking to the bottom of my right mind; low lie. Cameras and crystal sync(sink). Pictures and the words, never seeming to link. Try again and fail again, fail better on the next try. Written March 7th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 11:30 AM PST   0 • 1
