[I should trade my heart in for a watch,]
By Bobtilton
I should trade my heart in for a watch, because all I do is watch the numbers tick away. My lips silently repeat the count down because it's too hard to say. I always knew that you would leave. Do you know where the hell we are? All the birds are far to quiet in the trees. Frightened by the sweet things we told each other, frightened by the things we made them see. I always knew that you would leave. Like a hunger that you always have to feed, like when Don Rickle's spot light goes blue. The count down tells me I'm better off alone, and so empty without you... I always knew that you would leave. Written March 7th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 11:44 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
