Darkness

Darkness It's really dark in here, I can't see; Any person or place, not even me!!! I wonder where I am, or how I got here; This place of darkness, now grows my fear. I thought I had been in darkness before; But now I know, this is something more. No light can I discern, not glint nor ray; Whatever happened, to the light of day? I sense things around, but cannot see all; At this place, this great black wall. In a place this dark, no eyes really matter; For I can't see, what things do scatter. I grow fearful, of things that be in here; Deprived of sight, I know not what's there. I can't reach out, I might touch something! And I may not like to touch that being. And, what is that, a light over there? Though it be not much bigger than a hair. The only light in the darkness, what could it be? Mommy? Mommy? Are you coming for me?
