An Angels Kiss

By Brinneall

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I saw an angel fall last nightout of the sky above.I asked her why she cried those tears, she said she'd lost her loveIt was a very depressing sight, she could no longer sing. She tried to fly back home, but foundthat she had broken her wing.I mended it, but even thenwhen she tried again to depart,I found a much more serious problem, someone had broken her heart.  Just then I saw a heavenly lightshine down from far above. He came to her and called her backand said it was her he loved.A beautiful light shone forth from her heartlike roses that bloom in May,and he swept her up into his armsand they lovingly flew away.It was a sight I'll remember for all my life, and always remember this:Nothing can heal a broken heartlike an angels kiss.-Jada Marie Andrews1997, Written September 2nd, 2001 © on Sep 02 2001 03:21 PM PST   0 • 8
