A Mothers Hope
By catz
A Mother’s Hope Why this feeling of doom? As I witness the animosity Of my sons toward each other What could I have done so wrong While you were at my bosom To turn each of you against your brother I have loved you both the same Would have given my life for either of you And would to this day But your young comraderie has turned to hatred Though you’re both now middle aged Still the anger has it’s way I hope, though my heart is filled with despair For you both to rekindle the love God offers through his grace To fill your lives with renewed brotherhood And renew a mother’s hope By accepting each other in God’s embrace By Dee Garner December 22, 2000 Written December 22nd, 2000 © on Oct 29 2001 04:42 PM PST, Dee Garner 18 • 8 • 5
