Leanna
By catz
Leanna Gracefully she walks, head held high black hair shining, tousled by the breeze Quiet dignity for so young a lass as she as she waltzes through life with ease Dark eyes dancing, slender body swaying she’s like a young woman, yet still a child Her smile brings sunshine to warm us all this lovely girl, so free so wild Her laughter fills our hearts with pleasure the sound a measure of her glee She glows with the light of a heart reborn of love and happiness for all to see In another moment she may be subdued I wonder what’s on her mind What can she be thinking, this young girl perhaps of days and friends left behind But soon she’ll be up and running again or tying up the phone for hours My sweet granddaughter Leanna a child, one of God’s beautiful flowersJanuary 6 2001, Just a little poem I wrote for my grandaughter shortly before her 13th birthday.
