Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Merry Christmas, My Friend As the sun dips slowly to the edge of the earth And the day slips quietly away My thoughts turn to memories of  you, my friend Of a wonderful time, a delightful day Christmas is a time to give thanks and praise A time to remind friends we still care And as you look out on the new fallen snow Please remember I'll always be there I hope your Christmas brings peace and joy And your wishes all come true I wish you the best for the year ahead Because, my friend, I love you Dee Garner December 20, 2000This was originally written for my dear friend, Roland. There's a lot of personal feeling in this. I like it and thought it appropriate for the coming season.
