The Night

The Night Between the nightfall and the light of day When all the earth is still As I lay beneath the covers Crying, against my will The night is long, the tears flow And I feel the cold empty space Where once we held each other I can still feel your embrace Throughout the night until the dawn With all the world asleep Your love once filled my dreams Now I lie awake and weep Is this my fate, to be alone Forever wanting you Or is there another love for me A love that will be true To fill this void within my nights And bring a new tomorrow I pray each hour for one to love To end these nights of sorrow By Dee Garner October 29, 2001Written October 29th, 2001 © on Oct 29 2001 03:54 PM PST, Dee Garner   love
