Poem 029 - Sit Right Back...
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, A tale of a fateful trip. That started when I went down stairs, And I fell and slipped. My head, it hit the ceiling fan, It started gushing blood. Then blacked out when I hit the floor, The last thing heard was 'THUD'. I woke up in the hospital, Many days had passed. My arms and legs were broken, A bruise on my ass. Many injuries many, to list them might take awhile: Broken Fibia, My collar too, My shoulder, and my spine! A nasty scar. the pressure I cannot stand! Here I can barely smile! Rehabilitations hard, I may never walk. The thing gets me through the day, Is the ability to talk. You listened to my tragic tale, I thank you much for that! Just remember when you go downstairs, Watch out for the cat! Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 19 2002 05:18 PM PST 10 • 0
