Standing like twin sistersbeautiful sleek tall towersagainst the New York skiesOverlooking the passerbySymbols of a cityTowering so loftilyIcon of uncommon wealthwho would fathomyou would plunge to your deathone morning you met your fatefrom some men full of hatewho could not have understoodthe values from which you stoodSymbol of democracyfor all the world to seenow they gasp in agonyas the rain falls slowlyand appear like tears on the Lady Libertyholding the torch she bearsshe mourns your inhabitanschildren of her imigrantsshe promised them hapinesswhile they sang America G-d BlessThey are now silenced forevershrouded within you Twin Towerswe will avenge your fatethere's no room for such a hateI pray G-d bless America'G-d shed His grace on thee'while thru my tears I cannot seenot a shred of humanityin those men who brutalytried to steal our libertyhusbands and wives forever separatedchildren in an instant made orphanedrescue workers somber exhaustedAmerica's sons dearest daughtersbig strong brothers little sistershard working dads loving motherslay beneath you fateful towerswe as a nation wow to not forgetlest the deed they will repeatour heartfelt thanks to our heroeswe will avenge you many foeswho in a September mornbrought in a nation to mourn.
