Embrace and Kiss Completely

By Chris Kramer

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

If you could, Would you take a sunbeam and hold it, to keep it for our light? Would you take the breeze, harness it, to ride into the night? Would you take a meadow and spread it, to blanket our bedside? Would you take a cloud and squeeze it, to water flowers outside? If I could, Would I take a mountain and move it, to keep it out of your way? Would I take the sun and shine it, to brighten up your day? Would I take a flower and drain it, to bring color to your cheek? Would I take a ship and sail it, to find harbor when you seek? When we give heart to the other, Is blood pumped in the soul? When we give all to the other, Do we fill the cup past full? Probing possibility; Answer affirmed with ease; Let's embrace and kiss completely; Then harness a passing breeze!Revised February 17, 2003 - Stumbling and a-bumbling; bruising my lip, time for smoothing and choosing; words that hardly slip ... (I hope!) :-) Thank You for dropping in ! Much appreciated! Written July 26th, 2001 © on Sep 27 2001 02:46 PM PST, Chris Kramer    0 • 8
