Where Flowers Go
By Chris Kramer
Bursting with becoming of age A bud blooms and is announced Pretty flower excited at center-stage Showing pizzazz and a bounce! Messenger of heart-felt feeling Join your cousins in a beautiful bouquet When eyes see you it's revealing One loves another on this special day Your aromatic fragrance exudes passion Your petals touched tell of a gentle way Eyes will gaze at you in dream fashion A memory will be conceived today You will be the star tonight it's certain End up at bedside on the night stand Last one seen when they draw the curtain First fragrance encountered in dreamland Where do flowers go, you want to know When their lifeblood is drawn no more? Into a lovers heart and a mothers soul ... Memories that last forevermoreoh, the life of a flower ... is it only to self-perpetuate the species? Yet human beings see something more in a flower than just a seed bearer ... this poem tries to explain what that just might be ... :-) chris Written September 30th, 2001 © on May 01 2002 01:35 AM PST, Chris Kramer 0 • 8
