Night Attire

By Chris Kramer

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Although apart, I must impart A wish in which I ask And if you say, perhaps okay Then dreams dreamt surely last One small request, though not a test A smart start for lover friends A way to be, closer to me As hearts start to journey's end Sleep bare my true, I swear to you I'll then render entry to your loins Though miles away, suffice to say Our thoughts ought to simply join My beat so fast, my heart at last Will fly high adrift in space For when you show, my thoughts do grow To be seen from place to place Dreams are taken, the cosmos shaken My eyes spy where you lay As I sigh, you know that I See you truly, night and dayI tried this out earlier as a humorous adult thing and it was terrible so I deleted it and re-wrote it ... it now is sort of a PG something I would think --- and not bathroom wall stuff ... I am attempting to work with several rhyme schemes in this going on at the same time -- hope you like it! :) Written January 13th, 2002 © on Jan 13 2002 02:46 PM PST, Chris Kramer    0 • 8
