Oceanic Dreams
By Clean Serene
It was a calm bed of blue when I began my subtle journey. The basking life on the sand seemed to reassure me of my destiny. Everything wrapped around my tainted features, As the wind wrapped around the green palms high above my knowledge. Somehow I couldn't perceive exactly where I was going. My fists clenched, my muscles tight. The youthful skin I once had callused from the wind. I reached for the water, for my salty satisfaction. Oh how I wanted to inhale it's youthful gestures. The sand lifted from its bed and whirled in the air, As if someone had sifted it from above. I reminisced the times I had nightmares fall upon me. Through all of the beauty and trust I hold, Sinister mercury seems to slip down my conscience. The ocean came to my eyes as the dream of security soon shattered. Riding the crevices down my broken face, I added another dream to my ocean. As the tide left the reach of my despairing eyes, I begin to realize that I may never taste the salt of my dreams.I think there are too many adverbs. Am I right?
