Patience
By Clean Serene
I trust the world that now holds me near. The slight brush of my thoughts has silenced the anger I respect from within. I may not beam with great aplomb or structure. But at least I have the patience to seek out my dream. This patience may not be more than a single key to a piano, But it sings more than the anger I used to compose. I can show the world how ready I am. For I am cold. Alone, And still searching for that one soul that will bind my hopes and dreams. If it takes an eternity to wash my fear away, I will not shiver nor flinch. Only bear the wind that witnesses my strife. The sheer frost I wear will be nothing. For anything will be everything... If I wait to be warmed. Written December 3rd, 2001 © on Dec 03 2001 04:18 AM PST 0 • 12
