No Audience

By countrygirl

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

There's no audience now. The curtain has closed. The lights have dimmed. There's no one left to watch the stage but me. When did the first act happen? Who were the players? The second act--- What about the scenery? The third act--- Did the music play? "Someone tell me," I say out loud to myself. Because I missed it all. This poem really is about life.
