The Candles End
By crestfallen
What are words so softly spokenonto the nights cool coat, and falling upon the candlesinging calmly with its light,to a purity none can see.But only then did my words pierce the subtle silence.'A ghostly shadow does dance upon my soul'and speaking to the candle that simply shone response.I closed my eyes to watch the ever changing colorbeneath my vision, dancing its way above the blacklike truth of many shades. From somewhere in the night came the breeze to break my solitude; and spoke in words of fluid voice,to me it said only 'foreboding sights have seen this days end,in despair'. And trailing through my mind, the words flowedfrom my own lips; only to stop the traffic of the candle,to a final spell of darkness, or was it death?
