Blue Eyes

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Oh, beautiful eyes, look my way,Glance at me and want to stay,Wrap me up in your arms,Against your chest and free from harm,See me not with eyes, but heart,Allow yourself to make a start,Handsome prince, whisk me away,From this place where I wish not stay,Give me the love you hold inside,And to your ears will I confide,Breathe me in; accept me as me,And a whole new world, I’ll let you see,Effervescent, bluest eyes,Shrouded by deep, misty lies,Dark hair, and a voice to make me quiver,Lips that I could kiss forever,Your touch sends shock waves up my spine, Through my veins and to my mind,Look past my looks and to my soul,A place where time won’t take its toll, Know my thoughts from my own lips,And listen not to ones in idle cliques,Cherish me as I do you,Only then will I know our love is true.
