Deep into those eyes of blueStrange enough, but it’s trueYesterday I swore them greenBut perhaps hazel’s all I’ve seenYou wish them to be blue?Well, dear, I do not doubt youAs I do swear, I saw them greenBut maybe blue is what they’ve beenContacts for your eyes, do you wear?Could that make my vision less clear?Perhaps it’s just the shirt that’s onMaking them green as the lawnOr perhaps I’m just going blindLoving you makes me lose my mindBut clear as day, they were such a greenPrettier than I’ve ever seenBut if you must insist on blueFrom now on I won’t doubt you,After all they are your eyes,(There’s just no pleasing some guys!)^_^ Do you think it sounds like Dr. Seuss or Chel Silverstein? I've had people tell me both... what do you think? Written April 18th, 2000 © on Nov 03 2001 12:13 AM PST   0 • 14
