Illusions of Paradise
There I lie beneath a willow tree, Somewhere between my life and a dream, Effortlessly my thoughts pass on, Without a worry or care to dwell upon, Problems arise but soon melt away, Parents are happy come what may, Life is perfect, or so it may seem, Perhaps like being lost in a dream, I hold to the night to escape the dawn, Where the morning sun shines and dreams pass on, Reality comes in washes of gray, But perhaps I’ll dream again someday.* My favorite of my poems. ^_^ Written July 25th, 2001 © on Nov 03 2001 12:30 AM PST 0 • 12
